PADS 2.0.9.2 release, new FreePBX update
There has been a new release of the PIKA Application Development Suite, PADS, to version 2.0.9.2. This update provides additional improvements to the echo cancellor used on the analog lines of the WARP appliance.
As always, this means I roll out another new version of FreePBX on top of it. Also, as always, we do not just provide some new version of PADS but something in FreePBX as well. Most obvious is that the baseline version of FreePBX has been updated to 2.5.2.
This time we have added:
- Update to the latest version of PADS, 2.0.9.2. This includes a fix for echo suppression issues resulting in choppy incoming audio when both ends are talking at the same time (double talk).
- Update to latest version of FreePBX 2.5 release, version 2.5.2.
- Update to newer versions of PIKA modules for the WARP. Warpfax module to 2.5.0.5 and warp system admin module to 2.5.0.7.
- Add Ghostscript to convert pdf to tiff for faxing using the WARP fax module.
- Updates to make backup & restore work better in FreePBX on the WARP.
- Update the version of astmanproxy we are using to resolve some of the LCD non-display of line status issues.
- Include more FreePBX modules in default image. This includes backup & restore, conferencing, IVR, manager and follow me.
- Add nagios as selectable in the menuconfig of build.
- Add pcntl to build flags of php. See why at http://forum.pikatechnologies.com/showthread.php?t=258
- Add new toolchain to get rid of 6.3MB of wasted RAM because of incorrecty generated ramdisk file.
- Remove the libgd library and use the one embedded in php.
- Update so the sln file conversion does not occur on every reboot.
- Patch to linux kernel to enable the packet smart QOS tool if customer’s want it.
- Add fix for audio files used for conferencing.
- Add to the build script options for enabling and disabling new features added in this release.
- Prep work for the upcoming upgrade module.
- Fix to build script so other packages can be built in after main build.
If you wish to compile your own version of this release, please follow the instructions here, using revision number 18816. If you wish to flash the latest load, you can retrieve the image files here in tarball or zip format.
NOTE: As this load has the transfer to SD card functionality enabled in it, it is recommended that you flash this image using a USB stick. If you use the SD card, at the end you will need to remove it and reboot the WARP an extra time. If you do not want the move to SD functionality enabled, you will need to compile your own version.
NOTE 2: This load has full fax functionality including the addition of pdf to tiff conversion feature. This means a lot more space on the persistent partition is used.
