This article will describe what needs to be done to get Voicemail (VM) and Fax to Email working in FreePBX on the WARP. The article describes all of the steps required to get this working. The steps cover:
- Building FreePBX from source for the WARP
- Configuring the ssmtp server.
- Setting up an extension
- Enabling voicemail including to email on an extension
- Setting up Fax to email

Released to the community in August 08 by Digium, the Asterisk GUI 2 provides a fairly complete PBX configuration/management solution for Asterisk. I mentioned agile as a potential solution but discarded it as being the perfect fit. Since Asterisk 1.4.19 (and also 1.6), the iLbc codec was removed due to licensing problems (It is not licensed for distribution). To enable it again, it is necessary to download its source code and tell to Asterisk to compile with it.
